He finished his degree in Painting at the Faculdade de Belas-Artes de Lisboa in 2004, the year in which he was awarded the 1st Prize in the Spring Salon of the Art Gallery of the Estoril Casino. His work falls within a predominantly figurative line of research, through the incessant recording of moments in human existence. Love, Life, Death, Emotions and the Human Condition are the main themes that Paulo Damião approaches through a particular, sensitive and unique universe, sometimes even dubious and ambiguous.
